The Best Way to Learn English for Web Developers

I have a simple strategy that will help you learn English very quickly as a Web Developer.

Here is how it goes ...

Listening

Before you start reading, writing or speaking English you need to listen to native speakers. The best way to do that is by watching YouTube tutorials.

While watching you will hear new words and the more you watch the more words you will hear again and again which will help you remember them next time.

I suggest that you watch the same video a couple of times especially if it was hard for you to understand the first time.

With every time that you watch you will learn new words and understand them very deeply.

Reading

After listening comes reading and sometimes they go hand to hand. Reading will affirm the words that you have learned from listening.

You will see how they are used and it will help you remember them for the next step.

Read blogs and books about the programming language you want to learn. This will help you gain more vocab and you will see how words are used and in what context.

Writing

After that comes writing. With this you will be able to construct your own words and for me the best way to do that is by starting a blog.

Write about your experience in programming in the form of tutorials and lessons that you have learned from research that you have done while learning how to code.

Writing will help you construct words and express yourself.

Speaking

And finally, we have speaking. You can use words that you have learned from step one, two and three and use them like the natives.

And for me the best way to do that is by creating a YouTube channel. You can teach what you have learned from your own experience.

And you will be earning money while writing, and speaking by creating a blog and starting a YouTube channel.

In Conclusion

The order of learning English is very important. You cannot read before you listen. And you cannot write before you read. And you cannot speak before you write. This is how it goes for English and any other language you may want to learn.
