What Does PHP Stand for In Programming?

PHP stand for Hypertext Preprocessor and it's a high-level programming language created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994. The initial name was Personal Home Page but it was changed after the first version.

It's made primarily for the web and it's build on the C engine. PHP is the most used server side programming language on the web with the majority are using the popular framework WordPress.
